Mr. President...

I still can't believe this year's election. I'm so proud of Barack Obama. People keep saying that this is big for black people; it's not just big for black people... it's big for this Nation, it's big for the world! I haven't seen the world more involved in one countries election. We needed change. As my brother wrote me, "This is the start of change and should be seen as a new movement. People feel like they finally have a voice representing them in a powerful position of authority and that is the reality of this and the reason Barrack Obama has been able to lead in this movement. As he said, there is work to be done now."

My first post on this blog was about Barack and the election. I'm glad to say that we did Barack the Vote! We knew we could and we DID! My roommate convinced me to go out that night [[despite my sickness I went]] and I got some shots. I have to get my film developed. Hopefully they turned out good. If they did, I'll share.

Here's a mini-documentary my friend, Esmel Meeks, did on Election Day. It follows him through his first time voting and the aftermath of the results. [[Note: At the end, it's not a riot. It was peaceful and "Knuck if you buck" may not have been the best song selection loll]] It's really good for his first video. History!

great post, and great vid. I dont think VCU can do something like that again with NO fights and no drama. It was like 10x better than the Million Man March.
