I was checking the TEEN VOGUE blogs today, which I haven't done in quite a while. I moved into my school's mass comm building working almost all night in the edit bay and when I'm not there I'm usually at work or in class! This is why I currently have a stack of magazines waiting to be read and websites and blogs waiting to be checked. I wanted to see if there was anything new and interesting up. Of course, I had to check out the intern blog. I love reading their stories, what they get to do and how they got the internship. Especially because I aspire to be in their position one day soon [[crosses fingers and prays.]] To my delight they had new posts up. Which is how I stumbled across the fact that a one Miss Stacey Faber is a TV intern!!! That's right, Ellie Nash from The-N's Degrassi: The Next Generation. For those of you who don't know what Degrassi is. It's a Canadian TV show about kids that go to Degrassi High. I must admit it's been a guilty pleasure of mine for a while, as are many of the other N shows. It's been coming on for years. Chances are your older siblings used to watch the original Degrassi. TEEN VOGUE has had their share of celebrity interns on both coasts, with Lauren working at the west coast office. Faber has also interned for Nylon, another magazine I would love to work for. The goals of her character Nash, who aspires to be a journalist working at the school newspaper, and Faber don't seem to be that different. I wonder how she manages to go to school and work as both an intern and an actress. I'm not going to lie...I am a little envious, but in the motivational and inspirational way. Seeing how hard these people work and reading about girls [[and boys]] my age making it in the business assures me that if I continue to work hard I can make it too! Did that sound as corny as I think it did? Well, I'm off to climb the ladder of fashion industry success! Ciao.
