Trailer Park Overload

So many trailers to post! Prepare for trailer overload. I might have to break this up into a couple posts.

First up, Who Do You Love (April 9)

Seem familiar? Maybe because it's the same story as Cadillac Records, with lesser known actors. I still haven't watched Cadillac Records straight through and I don't particularly plan on going out to watch this, but it should be interesting to see which version of the Leonard Chess story does better.

The Joneses (April 16)

I wasn't a fan of David Duchovny a la the X-files days, but ever since Hank Moody, a la Californication, came along I can't get enough of the man. His new movie, co-starring Demi Moore, takes "keeping up with the Joneses" to a whole new level. The Joneses are, literally, a live-action marketing and advertising scheme family created to drive up the sales of any and everything. I'm guessing things change for the perfect family when it gets a little too real and close for their unit leader mother, Moore. Of course, there's the blatant theme of marketing, capitalism, materialism, envy, and greed, but they had to fit a little love and romance in there.

The Switch (Aug. 20)

Jennifer Aniston hasn't really been catching me with her latest movies. The Bounty Hunter? I mean really, come on. I think the key to this one is Sebastian, her son. He's too cute! As a self-proclaimed, slight hypochondriac i find humor in his neurosis. Horrible? maybe, but entertaining nonetheless. (and frankly, what it was written for) Point being, he had me at "I think I have psychosiams disorder." The child is 7; I can't even spell that!

Eat, Pray, Love (Aug. 13)

Didn't read the book, but who doesn't need/love all of the things in the title? The message alone is enough to make me give it a second thought. It's true that a lot of people get so caught in being in a relationship their whole life that they've never been alone, don't know how to be, and don't even really know themselves. It is important to know what you want in life, love, etc. before you can really get it. It should be interesting to see the journey. Don't we all wish we could just quit our jobs and take at least a year to travel!

Get Him To The Greek (June 4)

The spin-off to Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Get Him To The Greek, centers around Jonah Hill, who played the obsessed waiter in Marshall, trying to get Aldous Snow (Russell Brand) to his anniversary concert. What ensues on the trek from England to theatre is a chaotic adventure full of sex, drugs, and (of course) rock & roll. Aldous seems to have fallen off the wagon and out of the studio, a former addict both in character and in real life, which is probably why the concert is such a big deal. Hill plays the awkward and slightly inappropriate character well and Brand always makes me laugh with his witty dialogue. Diddy, Aziz Ansari, and man-child from children's hospital also make an appearance. Not going to lie, i'm pretty excited to see Infant Sorrow and Snow perform "Inside of You" again. It even made my top tv/film songs here.

Is it bad that I, secretly (not so secret anymore), want to see Repo Men and The Back-up Plan? Don't judge me. Although, I won't blame you if you do. Well, that wraps up Trailer Park overload part 1. More coming soon.

Trailer Park: The Secret Life of Bees

I saw this trailer a while ago but I wanted to share it with you all. I haven't seen Dakota Fanning in a while and it looks she's coming back with a strong film. Bees comes out Oct. 17. I've been waiting for a good black movie of substance to come out [[I think there has been a lack of them]] and I can't wait to see if Bees will that movie. Check out the trailer...

Trailer Park: He's Just Not That Into You

Speaking of Wilson Cruz [[in my last post, well not speaking of, video of]] here's a trailer of a new movie set to be released Oct. 24. I don't think he plays a big part in the movie but it's good to see him on the big screen. He's Just Not That Into You is a star studded movie that includes Ginnifer Goodwin, Scarlett Johansson, Jennifer Aniston, Drew Barrymore, Jennifer Connelly, Ben Affleck, Bradley Cooper, Kevin Connolly, Justin Long and the aforementioned Wilson Cruz. The movie's based on the best seller book, of the same name, by Greg Behrendt. Enjoy...

Trailer Park: Wanted

First...that car spin/trick thing was sick!!! I get more and more interested in this movie everytime I see the trailer. [[I think it's the car thing]] I am looking forward to seeing how James McAvoy [[whom I LOVE!]] will do in this movie. It's unlike any other role I've seen him in [[and I liked pretty much everything i've seen]], which is not the case for Angelie Jolie. Quite frankly, I hope to see more variation in the roles Jolie gets and picks in the future. Hopefully, we'll see some more performances like her characters in A Mighty Heart, Gia, and Girl, Interrupted. The movie comes out June 27.

And as an added bonus I decided to throw in another trailer...

This movie isn't new. It actually came out in 2001, but I just found out about it. It looks like a really good movie; real, raw, and emotional. Ryan Gosling is an amazing actor and from the trailer it seems like he gave a great performance. From what I understand it's based on a true story too. If you've seen it let me know what you think...if not I'll report back after I see it.
