I'm not sure how many of you used to watch the WB's Summerland. If you did, you may remember Jesse McCartney as the oldest son. You may also remember his single, "Beautiful Soul," from a couple years ago. It took him a couple of years, but McCartney has a new single out called "Leavin'." I love the song solely based on the fact that McCartney's singing it. What I really want to know is who wrote the song? It's not typical pop. My bet is on the Dream [[a.k.a the man behind Rihanna's Umbrella and J. Holiday's Bed]]. I think it's hilarious. What do you think???
It seems that people are having trouble writing original lyrics/songs nowadays. It amazes me that all people have to do is steal lines from about 10 previous hit songs, mash them up, write a hook, put a new title on it and call it a new song. I mean really...it's like they're too lazy to even sample a song anymore. But what really amazes me is that people accept it. Case-in-point: Lil' Wayne--Lollipop [[not even going into the vulgarity and inappropriateness of that song]]. Speaking of inappropriate...the video isn't exactly what I would expect for his original teen [[dare I say, teeny bopper]] fan base. Looks like McCartney's getting "grown and sexy" on us.
P.S. also on Summerland-- Becky from Fullhouse and Zac Efron [[ I won't even go into what I think about his career]]
