Style: Juliette Lewis

I love this outfit!!! [[minus the shoes]] Not many women can pull of a sequenced jumpsuit and look absolutely chic and fabulous. Juliette wore this sequenced Phillip Lim jumpsuit to the CFDA Awards. Loooves it! [[Rachel Zoe translation: She shut it down!]]

Vintage & Avant Garde

I have been seeing a lot good vintage finds on eBay lately, but I've never done the eBay thing. I finally gave in and signed up for an account. I got a little carried away with bidding in the first 10 minutes. So I decided to give a rest and keep a watchful eye on the items until the final hours.
My Finds:
Vintage '60s Puff Bow Prom Mini Dress (NOIROHIO)

Vintage '80s Colorblock pocket Mini Sundress (NOIROHIO)

Vintage Avant Garde Deconstruct Cut Out Leather BNDG Dress

Vintage '80s Avant Garde Leather Cape Jacket Coat

These last two are a little hard to pull off but I think they're Fabulous!

Mr. President...

I still can't believe this year's election. I'm so proud of Barack Obama. People keep saying that this is big for black people; it's not just big for black people... it's big for this Nation, it's big for the world! I haven't seen the world more involved in one countries election. We needed change. As my brother wrote me, "This is the start of change and should be seen as a new movement. People feel like they finally have a voice representing them in a powerful position of authority and that is the reality of this and the reason Barrack Obama has been able to lead in this movement. As he said, there is work to be done now."

My first post on this blog was about Barack and the election. I'm glad to say that we did Barack the Vote! We knew we could and we DID! My roommate convinced me to go out that night [[despite my sickness I went]] and I got some shots. I have to get my film developed. Hopefully they turned out good. If they did, I'll share.

Here's a mini-documentary my friend, Esmel Meeks, did on Election Day. It follows him through his first time voting and the aftermath of the results. [[Note: At the end, it's not a riot. It was peaceful and "Knuck if you buck" may not have been the best song selection loll]] It's really good for his first video. History!

A small case of bronchitis, a research paper and the regular overload of schoolwork (18 credits) and extracurriculars have kept me from posting but i'm trying to get back on it and catch up. Of course I have to start with THE biggest event since my last post.
