Muxtape is the new Mixtape

Check out my Muxtape, it's an online version of the old school mixtape. You can listen to thousands of mixes created by people from around the world by clicking on color coded blocks on the homepage. The site even allows you to create a list of your favorites. However, you can only upload mp3s, for now. Check it out. Mine is pretty random right now, due to the fact that it's my first one and I couldn't upload all the songs I wanted to. Look forward to more mixtapes, or shall I say muxtapes, in the future. I always loved the idea of mixtapes. [[Before downloading sites like napster or kazaa, even after they came out I never had them, I recorded songs off the radio lol]] I still have a box of them stashed away somewhere.

Click the tape.

sQuba: Car of the Future

This car is crazy. I don't know if it really works, but it premiered at the Geneva Auto Show this month. I would like to try it, but I am a little scared at the same time [[not that I have or would ever have the opportunity to]]. I just wrote a paper on Green Design and new innovations, hence my recent posts. However, check out the video of the car [[which displays its full features, you'll understand after watching]]. The car was created by a Swiss company called Rinspeed and was inspired by the James Bond film, The Spy Who Loved Me. Without further ado, [[drumroll please]]..... The sQuba [[hint, hint]]

So what do you think? I don't know...is it just me or is this crazy? totally futuristic... Do you think we'll see the day when everyone is driving around in a sQuba? At least if I crash into water I should be safe...

Check out some other innovative cars on the website.

Dirt

The season finale of Dirt is tonight. I can't wait to watch it. I've become addicted to the show this past season. [[Usually I'm a Nip/Tuck person, but I've switched shows]] Hopefully they will finally tell us what is going to happen between Lucy and Holt? I guess we'll just have to tune in to see. Check it out tonight at tonight at 10 p.m. on FX.

Speaking of dirt and it's star Courtney Cox. I found a photo of Cox covered in dirt that she took to promote the show. I'm not sure who took the picture, but I think it's amazing. I'm really into photography and I think that she looks gorgeous! Even covered in dirt. photos provided by the iMedia Connection and China Daily websites

I take it everyone has heard that supposedly Jay-Z and Beyonce got married this weekend. Personally, I don't like to believe Hollywood gossip until I see proof [[i.e. pictures or straight from their mouths]], but this rumor is very believable. I think it's been a long time coming. If it's true...Congratulations to them. They seem to be happy. I hope it doesn't end in another Hollywood divorce. They did a pretty good job of keeping their impending nuptials a secret [[or at least I didn't hear anything about it]]. I can only imagine how the planning went. Maybe a little something like this...

If It Was All So Bey-Z from jeff on Vimeo.

This video was posted in January by The Real. I guess they were kind of the first to break the news. These guys are hilarious. This isn't one of my favorites, but the relevance explains itself. Check out some of their other sketches.

I Dream of Travie...

For the past two nights a certain GCH [[Gym Class Heroes for those of you who don't know]] frontman has invaded my dreams. The cause of said dream invasions stem from the two concerts that I missed this week. The band came to The College of William and Mary and George Washington University this Wednesday and Saturday, respectively. I was supposed to go to the show at W&M, but it didn't work out. My second chance to see them came three days later, but unfortunately I already had plans. Needless to say I was extremely saddened by the lack of GCH in my event filled week. The icing on the cake was the fact that at both school I had friends that got to meet the band members because they were part of the committee that planned the event. Not to mention that one of them only knows three of their songs. But alas, hope... A new plan [[that has yet to be completely worked out]], GCH will be heading to my hometown, [[more so home region]] Northern Virginia. Yay! They stop at George Mason on April 24th. Third times a charm, right? Now if I meet them [[and maybe interview them, high hopes i know]] it will complete the power of three and all will fall into place.

p.s. check out Travis' blog
and if you like GCH check out Disashi's other group [[i don't think it's a group but for lack of a better word that's what I'll use]] The Midnight Society and Travis' other groups Tequila Mockingbird [[notice the play on words, pay attention in english class]] and Bernie Allen
